The Law Society

The Law Society represents solicitors in England and Wales. The Solicitors Regulation Authority deals with all regulatory and disciplinary matters and acts solely in the public interest.  

Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

Phillips Solicitors is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Reference Number 60213.

The SRA is the independent regulatory body of the Law Society of England and Wales. The SRA sets and maintains standards for solicitors, with the aim of giving the public full confidence in the profession. To see the rules, visit this page.


LEXCEL

We are delighted to have been awarded Lexcel accreditation - the Law Society's quality mark for excellence. This mark is only awarded to legal practices that have successfully met stringent practice management standards covering case management, office administration, financial management, risk assessment and good customer care. Our 2011 inspection gave us a 'First Class' rating.


Conveyancing Quality Scheme

The Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation is a quality standard for residential conveyancing practices which recognises the highest practice management standards and is a mark of excellence for the home buying process. 

Legal 500

We are delighted to be included in The Legal 500, which is the largest and most prestigious in-depth survey of the UK legal market and offers the definitive judgment of law firm capabilities. It is an independent guide, and firms and individuals are recommended purely on merit.

Family Mediators Association

Family mediation is a process by which couples who are considering separation or divorce are assisted to make arrangements, communicate better and to reduce the conflict between them to reach their own agreed joint decisions.

Howard Gardener is the Association's trained mediator at Phillips. Town Gate Mediation follows the FMA and UK College Standards and Codes of Practice.
