Why our clients choose us
Because our clients like us and trust us
In a recent survey a huge 98% of our clients rated our overall service as 'excellent' or 'very good' and when asked how well we have met their aims and objectives, an equally high number, 98%, rated us as 'excellent' or 'very good' and similarly 98% of clients said that they would recommend us.
Because we're helpful as well as professional
We know you only visit a solicitor when you need help - and our entire culture is committed to helping you to meet today's challenges in an often over-complicated world, when you need to.
The law is increasingly complex and we know how important it is to use qualified, insured and regulated solicitors. We attract and retain a high calibre legal team, with over 45 members of staff, including a highly committed and efficient support team which ensures we will deal with your affairs in the most professional manner at all times. We work in a cross-functional way which means that you'll have immediate access to experts in other services that you may find you need. With a number of directors and solicitors in each team, there is always someone with specific experience of the problem you are trying to solve, and we will use that experience to your advantage.
Because we provide a full range of legal services, in plain English
From conveyancing to commercial law, divorce to employment law. We're here to help you whenever you need us in your personal life; buying or selling a house, writing your Will, being made redundant, handling difficult family matters like getting divorced or separated, or even helping to protect the future with Lasting Powers of Attorney.
For businesses we provide the full spectrum of services that you might require over a business lifetime; we are equally delighted working for smaller, owner-managed companies, as for large corporates. You'll find us good listeners and valuable partners.
We don't believe in confusing clients with jargon or out-of-date language. Our lawyers keep you regularly informed and explain things clearly. The law can sometimes seem daunting and impenetrable - so you'll be glad to know that we like to keep things as informal and friendly as possible.
Because we offer value for money
With some of our work - for example conveyancing, Wills and selected employment law - we give a fixed-price cost so that you can budget effectively. For all our other work we charge on an hourly basis, depending on the level of the person working on your behalf. But you can be sure at all times that we are acutely aware that it is your money we are spending and we aim to keep our total fees as low as possible, giving you best value for your money.
Because we are innovative
We pioneered the introduction of mediation services to Basingstoke; we had the first trained collaborative lawyer in Basingstoke; we set up and presently run the pro bono service for the Citizens Advice Bureau; we have been short listed as outstanding practitioners for a Law Society Excellence Award and we are listed in the Legal 500, the largest and most prestigious in-depth survey of the UK legal market.
