Gill is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a member of the Law Society's Civil Litigation Section as a specialist in large and small commercial litigation.
Gill gained an LLB (Hons) in Law from Kingston University and went on to study at Harvard Law School before being admitted as a solicitor in May 1996 whilst at Phillips. Before that Gill had worked for four years in the USA for MCA Universal and at Harvard and subsequently lived and ran her own business in Germany for eight years before returning to practice law in England. In the middle of this, Gill took a career break to bring up two sons.
As Head of Phillips' Employment Department, Gill caters for both company and individual clients' employment requirements, whether contentious or non–contentious. Gill is also experienced in business affairs and commercial litigation and aims to provide advice and guidance, ensuring compliance with the law and the resolution of disputes. Sometimes it is necessary to bring or defend proceedings.
In her spare time Gill enjoys using her German fluency as a member of her village German–English Twinning Association, which also demands a serious taste for alcohol! She has also been a director of Kingfisher Housing Association for four years and fits in lots of swimming and walking whenever she can.
