Kelly has a varied practice, advising a multiplicity of employers, ranging from international companies to local businesses as well as employee clients on a broad range of employment law issues. Having started her legal career training as a barrister in South Africa in 2002, Kelly has a particular interest in contentious matters and employment-related litigation.
After completing her pupillage, Kelly joined a niche practice in Johannesburg, specialising in employment law. While practising in South Africa, she represented and advised a number of local and international corporations in the mining, retail, banking and chemical sectors on all aspects of employment law and practice. Kelly headed for Europe in 2005 and successfully completed her transfer exams while living in Belgium, enabling her to practise in the UK; then took a position at Shoosmiths, before joining Phillips in 2007. Kelly is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
In her private life, Kelly spends as much spare time as she can with her family and friends, travels whenever and wherever possible (especially sunny places) and is mad about dogs!
