We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant/Junior Legal Conveyancer to work as part of our Residential Conveyancing Department. In return we offer a competitive salary dependent upon experience and ability.

In your role, you will work with a senior Residential Property lawyer assisting them with the day to day running of their files.

The successful candidate must also have strong communication and organisational skills as well as being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills:

  1. Opening and closing files
  2. Providing quotations and preparing Client Care Letters
  3. Conducting Land Registry Searches
  4. Drafting sales contracts and dealing with enquiries
  5. Confident telephone manner when liaising with clients and third parties
  6. Requesting redemption statements and management packs
  7. Preparing Reports
  8. Raising Enquiries
  9. Title Checks
  10. Mortgage Checks
  11. Submission of SDLT Certificate
  12. Land Registry dealings
  13. Post Completion matters

PC literacy is essential, with expertise particularly in Word, Outlook and Excel. 

Previous knowledge of residential conveyancing is essential, and an enthusiastic and willing approach to new challenges.
