Phillips Solicitors have teamed up with Basingstoke Together Business Improvement District to offer a new networking group in Basingstoke.
The recently launched group is called Stoking Ambition and is aimed at those in their thirties and younger to attract the future generation of business leaders.
The informal group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the Duck and Tipple in Wote Street, in Basingstoke’s Top of The Town.
It is hoped that this new networking experience will provide a relaxed setting for business owners and professionals to meet without any hard selling.
Jack Gardener, who is a director at Phillips Solicitors, was joined by Wills and Probate solicitor Sian Lias. He was delighted with the group’s inaugural meeting, which attracted around 25 people, from across Basingstoke.
Among those who attended was Jack Little from LMW chartered accountants and George Scott-Welsh from business incubator and co-working space IncuHive.
Jack said: “One of the reasons we set up this group was that Basingstoke lacked an obvious way for young professionals to get to know one another on an informal basis.
“I was very pleased with the success of our first meeting where we were able to meet like-minded people over a drink and I’m looking forward to our next meeting.”
The next meeting is set to take place on Wednesday April 17, at the Duck and Tipple, starting at 5.30pm.
