Here is the second of our YouTube videos, this time with Phillips director Hayley Eachus, who heads our Family Law team, talking about child contact issues for separated parents during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Hayley says that if you are a separated parent the lockdown does not prevent you from seeing your children.

Taking your children to see the other parent and picking them up is currently deemed as essential travel, if this can be done safely.

If you cannot allow any direct contact because of health concerns based on public health guidance, such as when someone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19, then you should consider allowing the other parent to speak to your child or children via telephone, FaceTime, or Zoom.

During these difficult times our Town Gate office in Basingstoke is temporarily closed to visitors unless by prior appointment when meeting in person is essential.
