Congratulations go to Wills and Probate solicitor Sian Lias, who has passed her Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) diploma with flying colours.
STEP is a highly regarded internationally recognised academic qualification in the practice area of Wills, Probate and Trusts and is recognised as the benchmark for specialists in this field.
Sian qualified as a solicitor in October 2015 and joined Phillips in March 2017, specialising in all aspects of Private Client Law, including Wills and Tax Planning, Probate and Estate Administration, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Caroline Wallis, head of the Wills and Probate team, who is herself STEP qualified, said: “Congratulations to Sian, who is now a fully qualified member of STEP. The STEP exams are notoriously tough, so this is a well-deserved achievement. This is all the more remarkable as Sian has only been a qualified solicitor for two years.
“Sian’s success demonstrates not only the firm’s commitment to ensuring our solicitors are specialists in the areas in which they practice, but also our commitment to providing an excellent level of service to our clients.”
Delighted with her success, Sian said: “The STEP exams are demanding, particularly when studying alongside working full-time. However, the wealth of knowledge that I have gained whilst studying STEP will be invaluable in my professional role.”
